How You'll Know You Won

Notification Methods

Winners are notified through multiple channels:

1. On-Chain Event

Event: PrizeAwarded(address winner, uint256 amount, uint8 tier)

Emitted immediately after draw
Visible on Mezo block explorer

2. Email Notification

Subject: You won 4,153 MUSD in KhipuVault Prize Pool!

Sent to email address (if provided in settings)
Arrives within 5 minutes of draw

3. In-App Notification

Pop-up banner on KhipuVault app
"Congratulations! You won the Grand Prize!"
Visible when you visit app.khipuvault.com

4. Discord/Telegram Bot

Winner Privacy

Winners are announced by wallet address only (e.g., 0x742d...3f5a). Your identity remains private unless you choose to share.

Step 1: Verify Your Win

Before claiming, verify you're a legitimate winner:

Check on KhipuVault App:

1. Go to app.khipuvault.com/prize-pool
2. Connect your wallet
3. Section: "My Prizes"
4. You'll see:

Unclaimed Prizes

└─ Status: Ready to claim

Check on Mezo Explorer:

1. Go to explorer.mezo.org
2. Search for Prize Pool contract: 0x...
3. Events tab → Filter "PrizeAwarded"
4. Find your address in recent events

Click "Claim Prize" in the app:

Claiming Timeline

When Can You Claim?

Prizes are claimable immediately after the draw:

Friday 12:00 PM UTC: Draw executes
Friday 12:01 PM UTC: Winners selected
Friday 12:01 PM UTC: Prizes become claimable

No waiting period - claim anytime after draw completes.

Claim Deadline

Prizes expire if unclaimed:

Claim Window: 90 days (13 weeks)

Example:
- Won: Week 23 (May 1)
- Deadline: Week 36 (July 30)
- Expired: Week 37+ (unclaimed prizes returned to reserve)

Expiration Policy

Unclaimed prizes after 90 days are returned to the Prize Pool reserve to fund future prizes. Set up email notifications to avoid missing claims!

Multiple Prize Claims

Winning Multiple Tiers

You can win multiple prizes in a single draw:

Your Wins (Week 23):

Claim Consolation: 25 MUSD (Gas: 0.0002 MBTC)

Recommendation: Use "Claim All" to save gas.

Zero Claim Fees

KhipuVault charges 0% fees on prize claims. You receive 100% of your prize amount. Only Mezo network gas fees apply.

Prize Claim Troubleshooting

"Prize Not Found"

Cause: You didn't win, or wrong week number

Solution:

1. Double-check winner announcement
2. Verify your address matches
3. Check correct week number
4. Confirm draw has occurred

"Already Claimed"

Cause: Prize was already claimed (possibly by you)

Solution:

1. Check your transaction history
2. Verify MUSD balance increased
3. Contact support if balance unchanged

"Claim Expired"

Cause: Tried to claim after 90-day deadline

Solution:

Unfortunately, expired prizes cannot be recovered.
They're returned to the reserve to fund future prizes.

Prevention: Enable email notifications

"Insufficient Gas"

Cause: Not enough MBTC for gas fees

Solution:

1. Acquire ~0.001 MBTC from Mezo faucet or exchange
2. Send to your wallet
3. Retry claim transaction

KhipuVault will NEVER:

Ask for your private keys to claim prizes
Charge claim fees beyond gas
DM you asking to "verify" your wallet
Request payment to release prizes

Prizes may be taxable income:
